get involved

As well as supporting Self Seen by donating and fundraising, you can get involved through volunteering opportunities. Self Seen is run entirely on the kindness of volunteers. We are always on
the look out for new group leaders. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer we’d love to hear from you: b.cudmore@selfseen.com.au

Meet Ups

Women’s meet ups were also created to bring Women in the local community to connect together. Meeting down at Coast café, lighthouse beach every Sunday at 7:00am. Run by Women for Women, this group holds different activities for Women to step into and engage. From casual walks to yoga classes, they come together to enjoy each other’s company, make new friends, and support each other in their individual struggles. To know there is a safe space for you to go along and be support can sometimes make all the difference in an individual’s life. They also organise different walks and events outside of the Sunday walks. The Facebook group will keep you updated on all upcoming events and Sunday activities.

Women’s Circle

Throughout history, women have gathered in sacred circle. Be it around a fire in prehistoric times, within hushed monasteries of the Middle Ages, in consciousness-raising groups in 1970’s living rooms or online groups today, women have long come together to laugh, share, heal, care for children, grieve, and spiritually connect in community.

Women’s circles operate on unique principles and values. Within the structure of the circle, there is no hierarchy; each woman’s voice is equally important, her story honoured and received fully. In this sacred space, a collective power is harnessed. And when there is focused intent on healing – individually and collectively – magic happens. The support, creativity, and sharing of ideas that is fostered in women’s circles has the power to translate into something much larger and more palpable. There is a ripple effect that positively impacts society at large.

We are here to create a connected community through the women’s circle,
women can feel safe to open up , share, teach, connect, support.

“We share stories, empower each other and make lifelong connections”
